Bill Demory, a former quarter of the New York Jets in the 1970s, died earlier this month, according to a Billology published online. He was 74 years old.
Demory fought against prostate cancer and Parkinson’s disease, according to AZ Central. The ONCRology said that he died “peacefully” on February 14.

He was born in Iowa but moved to Arizona with his family when he was young and frequented high school in Phoenix. He frequented the University of Arizona and was a quarter of the Wildcats for three seasons before becoming a pro.
In 27 college games, Demory succeeded 3,268 yards by the pass and 28 Touché passes. Arizona did not have a record of victories when he was there.

He joined the Jets in 1973 and started in three of the six games in which he played. He had 159 pass yards, two Touché passes and eight interceptions this season. He was in a quarter room that included Al Woodall and Joe Namath. New York has finished 4-10 this season.
In 1974, the jets were 7-7 with Namath leading the charge. Demory has never seen the ground.
The Central Arizona noted that before Nick Foles started a match in the NFL, Demory was one of the three -quarters that played in Arizona and started an NFL match. Eddie Wilson and Fred Enke were the other two.
Demory was then a professor of economics at Arizona Western and at the Central Arizona College from 1999 to 2016 and auxiliary teacher at Mesa Community College from 1998 to 2024.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren, two Beaux-Enfants and his brother.
