In a daring declaration of military determination, the vice-marshal of the air Shehryar Ahmad Khan of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) warned on Saturday that any future aggression of India would cause a much stronger response than before, saying: “If the score was 6 to 0 the last time, the next time it will be from 60 to 00 to 0.0, to God.”
His remarks occurred during a ceremony of the solemn defense day in Mazar-E-Quaid in Karachi, where the vice-marshal has reaffirmed the non-bargainable commitment of the PAF to defend the country’s airspace with professionalism, preparation and determination.
The comments referred to the military skirmishes earlier this year, when India launched missile strikes in May after blamed Pakistan for an incident in Pahalgam. In response, Pakistan carried out the Bunyan Al Marsoos operation, a multi-Front military counter-offensive that fell six Indian planes, including Rafale Jets. The escalation ended with a ceasefire on May 10, negotiated by the mediation of the president of the time, Donald Trump.
Marking the 60th anniversary of the 1965 war, Khan reminded the public the symbolic importance of the day. “September 6 is more than a date in our history-it is a reminder of courage, unity and sacrifice,” he said. “Whether the threat comes from the other side of the border or the interior, we are prepared on each front.”
“We were a wall dressed in steel against the harmful creations of the enemy,” he said. “Any assault against Pakistan soil will meet with a resounding and decisive response.”
Stressing the operational heritage of the PAF, Khan cited key missions, notably Zarb-E-Azb, Swift Retor, and the recent Bunyan Al Marsoos, saying that the Air Force has always been up to the country’s expectations. “The PAF has never disappointed the inhabitants of Pakistan. Whether in combat operations or during natural disasters and rescue missions, we have delivered,” he said.

Khan pointed out that Pakistan’s air defense force lies in the professionalism and patriotism of its staff. “Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos revived memories of 1965 and reaffirmed the unit of our brave soldiers and our resilient civilians,” he said.
Earlier in the day, an official ceremony for changing guard took place at the Quaid mausoleum, where 73 cadets – 66 men and 7 women – from the Academy Paf Asghar Khan took care of the functions. The vice-aerial marshal inspected the parade and posed a floral crown to the mausoleum of the founding father.
