Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, had pointed out words for the NFL at the start of the “Field of Streams” audience of the Senate Commerce Committee on Tuesday.
Cruz suggested that the NFL was close to breaking the 1961 sports Broadcast Act, which was created to prevent the Professional League from violating the timetables of the school and college football matches.

The NFL is technically forbidden to broadcast matches from Friday evening to Saturday, from the second weekend from September to the second weekend in December, according to Pro Football Talk.
Cruz has described this to fear that the League has been able to broadcast the Black Friday matches in the past two years.
“A growing concern is that the NFL used its special exemption in SBA to frustrate college and high school football hours,” he said. “For example, the SBA explicitly excludes the NFL antitrust protection if the broadcast of a match on Friday evening or a Saturday between mid-September in mid-December. It is to protect the interests of secondary and college football, and finally, their fans, who are undoubtedly also the Followers of the NFL.
