The out -of -competition edge rusher pleaded to be the first choice at the Penn State Pro Day.
“I think my overall impact on the game,” he said, via ESPN. “My versatility. I can play several positions, and I have the impression that, above all, I intend when I need it when the crisis time happens. When you need someone to make this big game, I feel like I was the guy who makes this big game.
“At the end of the day, I do better than the people around me, take them in a double team, bringing me additional attention, releasing someone else so that they can play the game and just my overall impact on the game.”
Carter did not participate in the professional day because he recovers from an injury to the arm he suffered during the playoffs of university football. He said the arm was “about” 100%. He also treated a stress reaction in his right foot, but maintained that he had no pain and did not need surgery.
