The first hope of the NFL draft, Ashton Jeanty, knew one of the most dominant seasons in the history of university football for Boisse State last season.
The 21 -year -old ball carrier ran 2,601 yards and 29 affected, has an average of seven yards by attempted and ended his season with the second plus yards in a single season in the history of university football. Only Barry Sanders had more yards in a single season.
Jeanty’s runners coach James Montgomery recently spoke with PK Press Club Digital to discuss the player’s historic season.

While he burst into the national scene and engraved in records in 2024 during his junior season, Jeanty had a similar success in the second year.

Although Jeanty took the main role, Holani was also productive. He ran for 748 yards and seven affected. After this season, Holani signed with the Seattle Seahawks and is currently part of their training team.
With Holani in the NFL, it was up to Jeanty to rely on his solid second year season and to carry the charge.

Montgomery will not say if Jeanty should have won the Heisman.

As for what he wants Jeanty to land with a certain team or a style of play in the draft of the NFL, Montgomery is convinced that he will prosper which team select him.
