After Derrick Harmon was the 21st choice in total on Thursday, the most recent Pittsburgh Steeler had to announce his mother’s news.
Harmon could not look at the draft with his mother because she was helping life in a hospital.
Harmon said that he was being picked up was “soft-love” because he couldn’t spend him with his mother.
Right after being selected, Harmon went to the hospital to visit his mother, Tiffany Healthy, and said “his son was drafted”.

Harmon also said that he had used his zero money to buy a van accessible to his mother.
“Dude, how resilient she was, guy. Just growing from my point of view, my situation, I grew up with her probably having seven and eight brain surgeries,” said Harmon after being selected. “And after all these brain surgeries, guy, she did not give up.
“She has always taken me to train, has always gone to work. Always her back in my head since the start of my university career was:” Why can’t I continue? If I am tired, I am injured, anything, why can’t I continue, if it can get up and that it can continue brain surgeries. “”
“So just her resilience and her hard work, really. She was my inspiration.”

The 6 -foot Harmon 5 inches and 310 pounds spent three seasons at Michigan State before transferring to Oregon, where he turned into a disturbing force. Harmon was a second All-American team last season when he finished with five bags and 10½ plated for the loss for the Ducks.
