The label of “Franchise Quarterback” could never be used for Lance during his stay with the 49ers, or in the NFL elsewhere.
The very sought-after quarterrier struck a free agency during the offseason after a passage with the Dallas cowboys. TSN reported on Wednesday that the Saskatchewan Roughriders from Canadian Football League added to their negotiation list. The LCF team will have exclusive rights if Lance decides to play north of the border.
Lance started his recruit season as a backup of Jimmy Groppolo and was only able to start two games. He was appointed Quarterrière leaving in 2022, but an injury of week 2 cost him the season. As he was healthy, Brock Purdy had taken control of the starting work.

He had the chance to rekindle his career in the NFL with the Cowboys, but he rarely arrived on the field because he was stuck behind Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush on the depth board.

We don’t know what Lance will do now. The 24 -year career is far from over.
