NFL’s botter Jake Moody faced the consequences while the 49ers of San Francisco were able to win a victory against Seattle Seahawks in week 1.

The 49ers gave up Moody on Tuesday after a brutal kick performance. It was 1 for 3 against the Seahawks, connecting only on a 32 yards. He missed a basket of 27 yards in the second quarter and obtained a 36 yards blocked in the third quarter.

San Francisco won the match, 17-13, but it may not have been so close if the goals on the field were made.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan seemed to be attached to Moody in the moment, but the plans apparently changed between Sunday and Tuesday.

“Right now, I have no doubt,” he said, via Pro Football Talk. “I try to finish today, get on a plane and assess things, and go back. Ask me every day and I will answer what extent I am right at that time.”

The 49ers were to sign Eddy Pineiro to replace him, reported NFL Network.

Moody joined the 49ers in 2023 when the team selected him in the third round of the Michigan draft. He had an incredible impact for the team during the Super Bowl LVIII against the Chiefs of Kansas City.

He briefly set the longest goal record on the field in a super bowl when he nailed a 55 yards. Chiefing, Harrison Bustker, later beat the brand in the match.
