Philadelphia Eagles’s wide receiver, AJ Brown, recently revealed his reason for not playing football in Georgia. And it’s strangely specific.
Brown, 28, said that Georgia had recruited him, but he did not engage there due to the color of the team’s socks.
“I did not choose in Georgia. I was recruited by Georgia,” said Brown during a recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take”.

“I didn’t choose Georgia because I don’t like to wear black socks. It may be crazy, but I hate wearing black socks.”
Brown called the combination of black socks and “hideous” black crampons.
“By putting black socks with black crampons, it’s so hideous. Because when I put white, I feel so fast, so smooth. As, it’s just something,” added Brown.

Brown was the prospect of broad receiver n ° 5 and the overall perspective n ° 47 in the recruitment class of the 2016 high school. It had the interest of Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and the State of Mississippi and chose Ole Miss.
In Ole Miss, Brown wore white socks and was part of a dynamic wide receiver room. In 2018, Ole Miss had three broad NFL receivers on their list.
Brown was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Titans of Tennessee. DK Metcalf was drawn up in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by Seattle Seahawks. And Elijah Moore was a second round choice in the NFL 2021 draft by the New York Jets.

With the Titans and now the Philadelphia Eagles, Brown can continue to wear white socks and feel quickly.
Whatever its sock color, Brown has had an excellent season for Eagles last season. In 13 regular season games, he achieved 67 catches for 1,079 yards and seven affected.
In the Eagles Super Bowl race, Brown managed 12 catches for 163 yards and two affected in four playoffs.
