The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed the unrelated defensive platforms Desmond Watson on the list of non -football injuries because of its weight.
Watson, 22, was 6 feet 6 inches and 464 pounds when the BUCs signed him after the draft of the NFL 2025. He fell to around 450 pounds, but did not lose enough weight to be authorized for the training camp.
“It is simply a question of trying to improve it, to be a healthier player and to put it on the field a little more,” said head coach Todd Bowles to the journalist on Wednesday.

“It’s a bit where I’m right now. He is working on it, and we’re working with him. And that’s all you can ask at the moment.”
Watson has the ability to be a quality stuff in the NFL. In four seasons with the Florida Gators, Watson had 63 plated and 1½ bags.

“We have things we have in mind with him where we want to see him, and we will continue to watch this and make him happen where we think he must be and from there,” said Bowles.
During his stay in Florida, Watson said that stopping to get food during driving was one of the reasons why he had gained a lot of weight.

“Stop driving by driving,” said Watson when he asked the bad habits he tried to lose his professional day. “My biggest thing is to continue, arriving where I need to get. There are shops and a lot of temptations. It helped me a lot. Do not go inside the service station. Pay at the pump. Because inside, there are snacks and all types of things like that. Do not stop. If you are on the highway, stay on the highway.”
If Watson was to list 53 men and appear in a match, he would make the story of the NFL as a heaviest player to play in the history of the League.
