The Indianapolis colts announced on Tuesday the winner of their quarter-arre competition.

Head coach Shane Steichen said Daniel Jones would be a quarter-back from the team during week 1 when they face Miami Dolphins at a press conference. Jones beat the old global choice n ° 4 Anthony Richardson for the post.

“He is our quarter-back leaving for the season,” said Steichen via the Colts website. “I don’t want to have a quick leash on this subject. I feel confident in his abilities.”

The 28 -year -old was released by New York Giants in the middle of last season after 10 games, then signed with the Minnesota Vikings for the rest of the year. He did not appear in a match with Minnesota.

Jones started 69 career games and has a 24-44-1 file. Last season, he completed 63.3% of his passes for 2,070 yards with eight affected and seven interceptions. The giants went 2-8 in its starts.

In 15 career games, Richardson has an 8-7 file, although Mark does not fully reflect his game. The former Florida star made just over 50% of his passes for 2,391 yards, with more interceptions (13) than affected (11).
