NFL News: Cowboys would have acquired the quarter-arre of Patriots

The Dallas cowboys acquired the New England Patriots Joe Milton quarterrier in a trade on Thursday, according to many reports.

The Patriots exchanged Milton and a choice of seventh round in exchange for the compensatory choice of fifth round of the cowboys, by ESPN.

Milton, 25, started a match for the Patriots last season after being selected by the team to the sixth round of the NFL 2024 draft of Tennessee.

The only start of Milton for the patriots came in week 18, when they played the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots won this 23-16 match and Milton impressed during the victory, although playing against backups and depth players for the Bills because they had stored their seeded in the AFC qualifiers.

In the victory, Milton finished 22 of the 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown, while he ran on 16 yards and also a touchdown.

The Patriots have signed the quarter-Arrière Josh Dobbs as a free agency to be their safeguard behind Drake Maye, who made Milton available for trade.

With Dak Prescott as a quarter-cross, Milton will slip as a quarter of the team. Cooper Rush and Trey Lance supported Prescott last year and the couple began nine games combined after Prescott underwent an injury to the hamstrings during the week 9 which put it aside for the rest of the season.

However, Rush left for Baltimore Ravens in a free agency while Lance remains a free agent.

With the reported addition of Milton and the departure of Rush, the Cowboys quarter-Arrière room is now made up of Prescott, Milton and Will Grier. Grier only appeared in two NFL games since he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2019.

Milton won the nickname “Bazooka Joe” because of his strong launch arm. During his last season in Tennessee, he completed 64.7% of his passes for 2,813 yards with 20 affected and five interceptions.
