The person who caused the car crash that killed Khyree Jackson, who was a Minnesota Vikings rookie last year at the time of his death, pleaded guilty Friday to three counts of negligent homicide while under the influence of alcohol.

Cori Clingman, 25, pleaded guilty in a Maryland court and now faces three years in prison. Prosecutors will recommend a sentence of five years for each count.

“Incidents like these are not simple accidents,” said Prince George’s County District Attorney Tara Jackson. “These are preventable tragedies that result from conscious choices.”

Clingman was allegedly driving more than 100 mph while intoxicated when she caused a three-car crash on July 6, 2024. The crash killed Jackson alongside two of her high school teammates, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton Jr.
