Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce disputed that players could be fined for criticizing officiating after games and pointed to remarks by New York Giants passer Kayvon Thibodeaux during Sunday’s game.
Thibodeaux was upset that officials blew up a play when he took the ball away from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts on a push. Thibodeaux was excited when he called the whistle “bulls—,” but teammate Brian Burns reminded him he was facing a fine for his remarks.

The young Giants defender quickly changed his tune.
“I don’t agree with that. Look, you know me, I don’t like to complain about public officials. I never have. That’s not how I operate. I don’t think you should be fined. I think it’s bulls—, personally,” Jason Kelce said on the latest episode of “New Heights.”
Travis Kelce asked, “Can’t I give my opinion on what I thought about the call?

Jason Kelce maintained he wasn’t the one to question the officiating, but he couldn’t blame others for doing so.
“Yeah, what the hell is that? It’s free speech, baby! What are we doing here? … I don’t think you should be able to be fined for that. I think it’s absurd. And I’m all for supporting officials in general,” he added. “But look, it was a bad call. What do you want me to say?”

The two men also spoke about the call that upset Thibodeaux.
Jason Kelce suggested that officials not being able to make calls properly could be the reason the league bans pushing.
