An alleged incident involving the quarter of the Steelers of Pittsburgh Skylar Thompson in Dublin last week took a new turn on Monday while the team returned to the United States
Irish police said that an official complaint had not been filed as part of reports that Thompson had been attacked and stolen from Dublin while his team was preparing to play the Vikings in Minnesota in the first regular NFL season match in the country.

A Garda Síochána, the national police, said that he had no information to support the flight report with Thompson.
The NFL network reported that Thompson had been stolen and suffered minor injuries in the incident. The Irish media reported that “a number of men were involved in an assault on Thompson near the temple bar area” and that his phone was stolen.
Police said the police were involved early on Saturday when they met a man who needed medical assistance.
“The man in their twenties was processed and evaluated on the scene by the staff of the emergency services,” said police without further commenting on the assault report.
The Steelers have published a statement on the incident.

“We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday evening in Dublin,” said Steelers spokesperson at NFL Network. “We will no longer have comments at the moment because we are working with the safety of the NFL to collect more information concerning the incident.”
The NFL Players Association also commented on the incident.
“As always, our priority is the health and safety of the members of our players – especially since we continue to work on the protections and well -being of players while playing international games – and we will continue to support Skylar in all the ways he needs,” said the union.
Thompson, 28, signed with the Steelers in January after spending a little time with the Dolphins of Miami. It was activated on the list in March and obtained the rescue station at the quarter-Arrière Aaron Rodgers.
He was placed on reserve injured on September 10 due to an injury to the hamstrings. Thompson, Rodgers and Mason Rudolph are quarters on the list.
