But with a potential absence in the cards for the Texans, they were proactive to obtain another veteran with a good production spent in the building in case this situation arises.

Chubb suffered a horrible leg injury in 2023 in his second game of the season, which forced a long recovery. Before that, he came out of a campaign in 2022, his fourth consecutive season Pro Bowl, where he harvested 1,525 yards on the ground and 12 affected for Cleveland.
The Texans also examined the future potential for position when they drafted Woody Marks from the USC in April. Marks was a choice of fourth round which ran for 1,133 yards out of 198 attempts with nine scores on the ground, as well as 321 yards out of 47 catches.
