The rivalry between the Lions of Detroit and the Green Bay packers burns Red Hot even during the offseason.

The president of the Lions, Rod Wood, made sure to throw a little ignition on the fire on Tuesday when he talked about the draft of the NFL which takes place in Green Bay after the event in Detroit last year. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event this year in Wisconsin this year.

Wood took a shot on the packers while speaking during an annual lunch in Detroit.

“Trying to ensure that the NFL plans to bring it back (in Detroit) because I don’t think they will ever exceed it,” said Wood, via the free press of Detroit. “There is no way that Green Bay is getting closer. They will finish second or, as I said to Brad (Galli), they will finish third as they did last year.”

The project had 775,000 people present over three days, establishing a file initially produced in 2019 when it took place in Nashville, Tennessee.

Green Bay, the smallest NFL market, should have around 250,000 people in the city for the event.

The NFL draft is the first major event to launch the new season. Despite the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell and others, just announcing a list of choices made by teams, fans flock to it every year and attracts a massive audience on television.
