All eyes will be on “America’s Game of the Week” on Fox this Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys welcome Green Bay Packers, marking the return of Micah Parsons to the AT&T stadium for the first time since his exchange.
Instead of helping cowboys win, Parsons will be responsible for chasing the quarter-rear Dak Prescott. And even if he admits that it will not be emotionally easy, he is ready for the challenge.
“It’s going to be painful,” said Parsons about the chance to fire Prescott. “He’s my guy. He has always been like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me that if I faced him that it will be an excellent match, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings.”

Despite the national attention surrounding his return, Parsons insists that he approaches him like any other game.
“I accepted my fate for weeks ago when the job has happened,” he said. “So, for me, it’s just about playing another game and doing what I do best, and he’s a disturbing football player. I think the media and fans are trying to explode to be such a great thing. But I look at that like another game in At & t.”

The trade dominated the headlines when he dropped a few days before the start of the season. Many were waiting for Parsons would sign a long -term extension with Dallas, but owner Jerry Jones finally honored his commercial request. Green Bay acquired Parsons in exchange for the first round choice in the NFL 2026 and 2027 projects, as well as the defensive platform Kenny Clark.
Packers quickly made parsons the best paid non-qualified in the history of the NFL with a four-year contract worth $ 188 million and 136 million dollars guaranteed.

For three games, this decision raised questions for Dallas. Cowboys’ defense failed, and almost started 0-3 if not for the basket of 60 yards from Brandon Aubrey who forced overtime against the giants of week 2, where Aubrey won it later. Dallas sits 1-2 after last week’s eruption defeat against the Bears.
Green Bay, on the other hand, is 2-1 despite a surprising loss in Cleveland. Parsons has raised 1.5 bags and five plated combined so far, continuing to anchor a strong defensive front.
“Besides the fans, just the teammates, the support staff – I mean, they made this transition so large and I am just extremely honored and blessed to be with such a large group of guys who want to win and who just want to play football,” said Parsons. “I think we have played a very good football so far, so it helps, and I just hope that we will continue.”

For Parsons, it is perhaps an other game. For the cowboys and their fans, it is the return of a star who grew up by dreaming of wearing the star and became a fifty pro four times in Dallas. The kick -off is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. on Sunday.
