Tommy Devito was canceled by the New York Giants on Tuesday, but the fans’ favorite quickly found a new house.

Devito, 27, was claimed Wednesday by the New England Patriots. He will compete as a quarter of the third channel of the team behind the Starter Drake Maye and the backup Josh Dobbs.

Devito started eight games and appeared in 12 during his two -year career. In 2023, he went 3-3 and completed 64% of his passes for 1,101 yards with eight affected and three interceptions and was put under the national spotlight under the name of “Tommy Escalopes”.

Last season, Devito started two games but had trouble. The native of the north of New Jersey completed 70.5% of its passes for 257 yards without affected or interceptions.

Devito played well in the pre-season, especially against the patriots. During the victory of the Giants 42-10 against New England, he made 17 of the 20 passes for 198 yards and three affected.

Through three pre-season games, Devito completed 30 of the 38 passes for 323 yards with four affected and interception.

“The reinforcement of the list, certainly, in a premium position and continuing to add parts, whether offensive, defensively or guys who, in our opinion, can help us in special teams,” said Patriots coach Mike Trin.

Truebel also admitted that the Vice -President of Ryan Cowden players staff – who was previously adviser to the Director General of the Giants – was beneficial to give a glimpse of Devito.
