New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins is known for entering NFL stadiums barefoot, but he really challenged himself before Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
The northeastern United States experienced a winter storm Saturday evening into late morning. Snow fell in several states, including Foxborough, Massachusetts. Temperatures at Gillette Stadium were around 32 degrees and expected to drop below 30 by the end of the game.

Hollins entered the stadium without shoes or a shirt.
He previously explained why he decided to go barefoot outside of NFL games.
“It started six or seven years ago. I guess it started when I was little, but I picked it up again about 6 or 7 years ago,” he previously said, according to CBS Boston. “I met some trainers called Melbourne Muscular Therapy in Australia. I flew them from Australia to Philadelphia. They arrived and the way you look at me is the way I looked at them. They were walking around Philadelphia barefoot. I thought they might have sent the wrong guys here.

“But that was their philosophy, being barefoot and going back to our original patterns of movement. That got me training barefoot all the time for two or three years. Then, probably in the last two or three years, I started training barefoot all the time for two or three years. [into the mindset of] What’s the point?”
He added that it was one less bag for him to carry on the road.
