Quinn Ewers entered the 2024 university football season with many experts projecting him as the first round in the NFL 2025 draft. But the former quarter of Texas fell in the seventh and last round last month.
Ewers has also become the last player in his position to get out of the table. This year’s draft class featured 14 quarters. The Ewers agent spoke after the quarter-Arrière’s slide, and the 23-year-old now breaks his silence.
Ewers admitted that he had to wait for the seventh round to hear his name called took him by surprise, but he also adopts the opportunity he has with the Miami dolphins.

“I did not expect to fall as low as I was,” Ewers told the Associated Press on Friday. “This is what it is at the end of the day, and I have the same opportunity as everyone. And I am more than grateful for that. I just want to go and play my game and learn and develop as a quarter.”

Ewers enters a quarter hall in Miami which already includes Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson, choice n ° 2 of the 2021 draft.

Ewers’ university football career started in Ohio State, but it was transferred to Texas. He ended his career in Austin with 68 affected to his credit.
Tagovailoa appeared in just 11 games during the 2024 season. Long-term injuries and health of the Pro Bowl quarter-back remain a subject of conversation.
Wilson landed with Denver Broncos last season after a three -year -old turbulent race with the New York Jets. Ewers has recognized the competitive nature that exists among the quarters of the Dolphins.
“There are a lot of guys right now, and everyone is fighting for the same job,” said Ewers. “And we are all competitive, but it’s cool at the same time, just because, in the end, some of these guys will eventually be teammates with us. But you have to win work and gain the confidence of these guys too.”
