Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua has once again lashed out at NFL officials by posting critical remarks on social media following the team’s overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Nacua, who had a huge game in the 38-37 loss, clearly criticized the officials. But the message was quickly deleted from his X account.

“Can you say I was wrong,” the post read. “Thank you for your contribution. Lol.”

Rams head coach Sean McVay was frustrated during the postgame press conference. He did not have a response to Nacua’s post because he said he did not know the post had been posted.

This is about the third time Nacua has sparked controversy against himself this week.

He made critical comments about those responsible, calling them “the worst” during a livestream with Adin Ross. He was also accused of anti-Semitism for a gesture he made during the stream.

“The referees are the worst,” Nacua said. “These guys want to be… these guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV too. You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the chat group like, ‘Yo, you just saw me on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ It wasn’t PI, but I called him.'”

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said on Amazon Prime Video that Nacua should expect to be fined for the comments.

The anti-Semitic incident prompted an apology and a statement from the NFL.

In the video, Ross asked Nacua to hit the ball, flex and then rub his hands together after a touchdown. This decision appears to perpetuate a harmful anti-Jewish stereotype. He released a statement before the match, apologizing for it.

“When I appeared on a social media livestream the other day, it was suggested to me that I perform a specific move as part of celebrating my upcoming landing. At the time, I had no idea that this act was anti-Semitic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people,” Nacua said in a “Stand Up Against Jewish Hate” graphic. “I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions, as I do not advocate any form of racism, intolerance or hatred towards any other group of people.”

The NFL also released a statement on Nacua’s actions.

“The NFL strongly condemns any form of discrimination and derogatory behavior toward any group or individual,” the league said. “The continued rise of anti-Semitism must be combatted around the world, and the NFL will continue to stand with our partners in this fight. Hate has no place in our sport or our society.”

The controversy didn’t seem to distract Nacua as he put on one of the best matches of his career.

He had 12 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns. He didn’t perform the celebratory gesture Ross asked him to do.
