The New York Giants rely on the veteran Russell Wilson as a quarter-tree leaving so far this season. But the Jaxson Dart recruit is just behind him on the team’s depth board.
Wilson previously spoke to PK Press Club Digital before the start of the season and answered a question about his reflections on Dart’s ability compared to Wilson as a recruit, when he exceeded the former veteran the quarter-Arrière Matt Flynn on the Seattle Seahawks to win the departure post.
“I think Jaxson is a very good worker. He is a very good teammate. He was a guy who had a very good university career,” said Wilson in July, adding: “For me, I had the chance to be able to do everything I am able to do, simply grace, grace, grace of God, my goal is to help the Giants of New York to win daily.”

Wilson and Dart are both in their first seasons with the Giants. Wilson signed a one-year and $ 21 million contract with the team during the offseason, while Dart was selected by the team with the 25th choice in total to the NFL draft after exchanging in the first round to obtain the quarter.
Wilson was anointed the team’s starter in the season, but Dart won the role of second string after a strong pre-season performance.

When Wilson exceeded Flynn as a quarterrier starting from Seattle in 2012, Flynn had just signed a $ 26 million contract over three years. Wilson, a recruit, had been selected in the third round of the year of the year, but ended up beating the veteran for the departure post before week 1. Wilson led the Seahawks to a file of 11-5 and a victory in the playoffs during his first year.

For the giants of this year, the veteran Wilson maintained the starting station of week 1, while the Giants lost against the Washington commanders, 21-6.
Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll said Wilson will remain a quarter-back from the team in week 2 against Dallas Cowboys.
