The former Texas star and his agent Ron Slavin opened in ESPN for a story on his draft slide. Slavin revealed their state of mind while the hours and minutes walked away during the draft. He said that he thought that Ewers could have had a good chance of landing with Las Vegas raiders or Seattle Seahawks on day 2. But the so-called “nightmare” scenario occurred when the raiders spent the quarter-Arrière for two guys from the FCS, a division lower than the top of university football.

Slavin said he spoke with two teams before the start of the seventh round – Dallas’ dolphins and cowboys. It was then that Miami finally took it. Slavin told ESPN that he had held next to “half of the league” to see why his client fell from a fourth lap projected until the seventh round.

Ewers said he would use the light project as a fuel.

“It is certainly a lot of motivation that accompanies it, especially being the last (quarter-arre) written,” said Ewers. “I always have the expectations high for me, but just from the outside, it is the first time in my life not to have as many expectations. There is certainly motivation and fuel. Many.”

Ewers was one of the best quarters of the school when he initially engaged in Ohio State. He was transferred to Texas before the 2022 season and spent the rest of his career there.
