The Falcons of Atlanta, the Grand Julio Jones, announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons on Friday.
Jones, 36, is the leader of the Falcons franchise in receptions (848) and reception yards (12,896) and is second behind Roddy White in the affected (60).
“I am announcing my retirement. I started at the age of 8 in Foley, in Alabama. It was an incredible ride,” Jones wrote in a statement.

Jones was drafted with the overall choice n ° 6 of the draft of the 2011 NFL by the Falcons outside the Alabama. He played 10 seasons with the Falcons and was appointed seven times to Pro-Bowl and was an All-Pro selection five times.

Jones spent a season each with the Titans of Tennessee, the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay and the Eagles of Philadelphia after his 10 -year race with the Falcons. Jones played for the last time in 2023 with the Eagles and did not play in 2024.
Jones caught 914 assists for 13,703 yards and 66 affected during his career in the NFL.

“I make this announcement today because of the city of Atlanta,” said Jones in his declaration. “Thank you guy, I appreciate you all. It is nothing other than love. I do this on the 404 day – it was hell. … It was for the city, guy, I appreciate you all.”
