NFL News: Titans Edge Rusher suddenly withdrew one day before the training camp

The Titans of Tennessee announced that the veteran from Pointe du Bord Lorenzo Carter informed the team he would retire on Tuesday, just a day before the training camp on Wednesday.

Carter, 29, signed a one -year agreement with the Titans during the free agency before the 2025 season.

“He informed us yesterday that he would retire,” said the director general of the Titans, Mile Borgonzi, in the announcement, “so we wish him good luck.”

Carter played in the NFL for seven seasons after the New York giants selected it in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft in Georgia.

The Rusher Edge spent the first four seasons with the Giants before joining his hometown of the Falcons of Atlanta for the last three seasons of his career.

Carter started 62 of his 96 career games in the NFL. He only started two of his 15 games during his recruit year, but after that, he became a regular starter with the Giants.

In four seasons with the giants, Carter had 153 combined plated, 14.5 bags, interception, 15 defended passes, five forced escapes and four escaped recovery.

After his four -year -old passage with the Giants, Carter signed a one -year contract of $ 3.5 million with the Falcons. Carter began the 17 games that season and transformed this into a $ 9 million contract over two years the following season.

Without Carter, the Titans have seven rushers on board on their list: Arden Key, Dre’Mont Jones, Femi Oladejo, Jaylen Harrell, Ali Gaye, Titus Leo and Desmond Evans.
