Trey Hendrickson is more than open to stay in Cincinnati, but it seems that Bengals force him to get out.
The Rusher Edge, who led the NFL in bags last season, recently criticized his organization, but the scathing statement he published on Monday has given a look behind the curtain.
In March, the Bengals gave Hendrickson permission to ask for a job – last month, he said that communication on their part had been “poor”.

Well, this communication apparently stopped, according to Hendrickson.
“No communication took place between my camp and the organization after the draft,” Hendrickson said in a statement.
“The offers before the project did not reflect the vision that we shared and that we were promised the last off -season if I continued to play at a high level. The coaches are aware of these past conversations. Rather than using a collaboration to make us hear a point to bring me home to the team, they no longer communicate.

Hendrickson has finished each of the last two seasons with 17.5 bags each. He entered the last year of his contract.
“We have no desire to be best paid or, you know, first online,” said Hendrickson last month. “I will not go into all the details, but, as, there are things that I am ready to do and that I want to move. I don’t think I want to play for incentives that will be out of my control. Hendrickson was 30 years old in December, has been with cincinnati since 2021 and was an absolute flight to them. Since the Bengals acquired him, he posted at least 14 bags in three of his four seasons. He also did the pro Bowl every season as Bengal.
