The very abundant Tash push was the subject of the JOR among the coaches of the NFL during the annual meeting of the League on Monday while new reports surfaced on efforts to ban the game.
The Green Bay Packers have submitted a proposal that would effectively prohibit the play, which has become famous thanks to the Eagles of Philadelphia and their success.

The official proposal for modifying packers’ rules “would prohibit an attacking player from pushing a teammate who was aligned directly behind the Vivaneau and receives the SNAP, immediately to the SNAP.” The proposal added that a penalty would be assessed on any offensive player who violates the rule.
The league staff presented the rules proposals at a meeting of football operations on Sunday, and the question of the Packers’ proposal triggered a “animated” discussion, reported Espn. The director general of packers Brian Gutekunst and the head coach Matt Lafleur refused to talk about it with ESPN.
However, that did not prevent other coaches from discussing it when the meeting launched on Monday.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he was “open-minded” to get rid of Tash’s push.

“The first time I saw it, I couldn’t believe it was legal because it was illegal on the ground,” he said via athletics. “That being said, you hate being against it because when people are innovative, you want to respect this.
“There have certainly been teams that have been more innovative than the rest of us … We hate them for that. But we have participated in the discussion on the goal because of the safety of the players and this is still a component of the discussion.”
Kansas City chiefing coach, Andy Reid and Buffalo Bills, Sean McDermott, also mentioned the concept of security as regards the possibility of banning the game, according to Pro Football Talk.
A source challenged the security aspect in an interview with ESPN.
“It’s not about players’ safety. It’s just a different game and it looks different,” said the source.
The fury around Tash’s push intensified in the victory of the NFC Eagles championship against Washington commanders.
Commanders players tried to jump offside to try to stop the game of the goal line. However, the penalties of the constant offside led to a warning of NFL officials, who said that the Eagles could have received a score if Washington continued to engage the penalty.
