Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season will feature marquee matchups and the first start of a high-profile rookie quarterback.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford will face Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield on Sunday night. The matchup will feature an MVP favorite in Stafford going up against a quarterback who is poised to be in contention for the award in Mayfield. The NFC heavyweight battle could possibly be a matchup that fans will tune into next January.

One question fans continue to ask is, “Are the Indianapolis Colts real?” There will be no better way to prove that they are than by taking on the crème de la crème of the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs. Jonathan Taylor has also been mentioned as an MVP candidate as he averages 113 yards per game.
Elsewhere, the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys in an extremely important clash for both teams. The Eagles won this year, but questions arose about their struggling offense. Shedeur Sanders will make his first NFL start as quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. He will face Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, who will face him throughout the match.
