Edmonton’s Oilers qualified for their second consecutive final of the Stanley Cup while they were beating the stars of Dallas 6-3 in match 5 of the West Conference final at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Thursday evening.

The Oilers will seek revenge against the Florida panthers after the heartbreaking defeat of match 7 of last season in the Stanley Cup final.

EDMONTON took one less match in the final match of the Western conference of this year to ship Dallas. Last season, the Oilers beat 4-2 stars in the Western Conference final before moving on.

The oilers ran to an advance early Thursday, when they scored on their first two shots. Corey Perry and Mattias Janmark beat the stars of goalkeeper Jake Oettinger to give Edmonton a quick 2-0 lead.

Dallas’ head coach Peter Deboer wasted no time and fired Oettinger from the match after authorizing the two goals. However, the passage to the Casey Desmith safeguard goalkeeper did not give much better results.

Jeff Skinner of Edmonton beat Desmith for a goal just after replacing Oettinger and gave the Oilers an advance of 3-0 with his first goal of the playoffs.

The stars managed to reduce the advance to 3-2, but Connor McDavid scored a great escape to make the match 4-2 and change the momentum to the Oilers.

Stars striker Jason Robertson scored to do so 4-3, but the striker of the Oilers Evander Kane responded with a goal to find the advance of two goals from the Oilers. Kasperi Kapanen of Edmonton put the final touch on victory with an empty goal for the object because the time ended to do so 6-3.

This is the third consecutive season that the stars lost in the Western Conference final.

“You should continue to knock on the door,” said Deboer. “We continued every match of this series, and it is a difficult way to play hockey against this team. It was the story of the whole series, but the fourth goal, Connor’s goal … The puck bounces in the neutral zone, it comes out of the bench, it is not missing that. This is the game.”

During the celebration of the Oilers after the match, McDavid made sure to touch the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, the trophy awarded to the champion of the Western Conference; Last year, he chose superstitiously not to touch him, but they continued to lose during the Stanley Cup final.

“It’s quite obvious, I think,” said McDavid about what was different from the end of the western conference final of last year. “Don’t touch it last year, you don’t win. Touch it this year, I hope we win.”

During the Stanley Cup final last season, the Oilers almost succeeded in one of the most improbable returns in the history of sport. Edmonton fell behind 3-0 in the series, but fought to force a match 7, which they finally lost 2-1.

Match 1 of the Stanley Cup final is expected to start on Wednesday at 8 p.m. HE.
