The former Pakistani women’s cricket team, Captain Nida Dar, announced a temporary break from all forms of cricket to focus on her mental health, after which she described as a period of personal and professional challenges.
The 38 -year -old versatile made this announcement on social networks Thursday evening, calling on private life when she moves away from the game.
“Many things have happened in the past with me personally and professionally, which affected my mental health,” wrote Dar.
“For this reason, I take a break for a moment of cricket to focus on myself. Please comply with privacy. THANKS. # Respect.”
DAR, one of the most experienced players in Pakistan, represented his country in 130 international T20 and 99 day.
Known for her consistency and her leadership, she was recently returned to training in preparation for the qualification of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in Faisalabad.
However, she did not do the final team of 15 players after having failed to meet fitness references.
In addition to moving away from international affirmations, DAR also withdrew from the next T20 national cup, rather choosing to take a full break from the competitive cricket.
His decision comes as the Pakistani women’s team celebrated a successful qualification campaign for the ICC Cricket World Cup, winning five consecutive victories and defeating the Bangladesh by seven gohets in their last match on April 19 at the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) field.
While welcoming the team’s performance, the president of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohin Naqvi, reiterated that the national female team will not go to India for the tournament, in accordance with a “hybrid model” previously agreed similar to that adopted for the Trophy Champions Men’s Champions ICC.
“Pakistan will not go to India, because this formula has already been agreed,” Naqvi said during a visit to the LCCA field.
