Nina Dobrev is speaking out after evacuating her home amid ongoing deadly tornadoes in Southern California.
THE Vampire Diaries The alumna took to her official Instagram account to share an emotional video, sharing that she was forced to evacuate her home due to the devastating wildfires in the area.
“Hey everyone, it’s been such a tragic time in Los Angeles recently,” Dobrev began to say.
“I felt really sick to my stomach at all the destruction and devastation that these fires have caused and displaced so many families. My heart is broken for everyone affected by these wildfires,” she continued.
She also revealed that the moment she left her Los Angeles home was also her birthday.
“We evacuated on January 9th, this is definitely not how I planned to spend my birthday, but I wanted to make this video to thank everyone for their birthday wishes and make a request,” said noted the actress.
The star admitted she suffered from “survivor’s guilt,” sharing that her home “survived” even though it was too close to the wildfires.
Dobrev then urged his supporters to donate as much as possible and help those in need.
