- Ninja Gaiden 4 was revealed during the Xbox Developer Direct
- It should be released in the fall of 2025 on all the main platforms, except the Nintendo Switch.
- Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, a remake, is also available now
It is a glorious day for fans of action games with characters while we are witnessing the return of a sleeping franchise: Ninja Gaiden.
Announced as the surprise title of the Xbox Developer Direct, Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released in the fall of 2025 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and PS5. It will also be available from the first day on Xbox Game Pass.
It was quickly followed by the news that Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, A Remake Unreal Engine 5 from the 2008 classic Xbox 360, is available for purchase and in play now on all platforms (except Nintendo Switch) as well as on Xbox Game Pass.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is developed by Team Ninja and, surprisingly (or perhaps not given the developer’s pedigree), Platinumgames. This will be the first major project in Platinum since 2022 Bayonetta 3.
Ninja Gaiden 4 seeks to offer two playable protagonists. The legendary ninja Ryu Hayabusa is back, alongside a whole new character named Yakumo. Yakumo is a much younger ninja who initially seems to be in disagreement with Hayabusa, and we see both confronting each other in the trailer.
The game seems to keep what made the Team Ninja series so emblematic in the first place, with ultra-rapid fights, breathtaking visuals and a sufficiently thick amount of blood and gore.
There are not many news on Ninja Gaiden 4 Global difficulty for the moment, but we should probably expect a fairly difficult game. THE Ninja Gaiden The series has the reputation of being extremely hard from its beginnings on NES until more contemporary entries.
The revelation also confirmed that familiar characters from the past of the series will also appear in Ninja Gaiden 4, Which means that we can probably expect Momiji and Dead or lively Ayane will also return.
