A new rumor Nintendo Switch 2 suggests that the console may not include a 4K output at launch if the capacity reports of development kits are something to pass.
This comes from the last episode of the weekly Podcast Insider Gaming, where Tom Henderson shared an overview of the next Switch console, saying that a source at the Conference of Game Developers (GDC) told him that certain development kits did not offer 4K outing.
“I heard that of a GDC developer and I also heard it separately in an email … But the development kits, or some of the development kits, have no 4K outing,” said Henderson.
“So, that tells me, does that mean that the Nintendo Switch 2 will not have a 4K outing either when it was released?”
It is important to note that although the development kits do not have this functionality, this does not necessarily mean that the final version of switch 2 will not do so, because the system does not offer the same specifications as an unfinished product.

Henderson also pointed out that this was not confirmed and that fans should take this rumor with a pinch of salt, since previous reports said that the console would support 4K in moored mode and 1080p resolution during the laptop.
