- 007 First Light has been delayed for the Nintendo Switch 2
- IOI says game will now launch “later this summer”

IO Interactive has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light has been postponed until this summer (i.e. the northern hemisphere summer).
In a new social media post, the developer confirmed that while the PS5, Xbox Series

IOI delayed First light for all platforms earlier this year from its original release date of March 26, citing the need for additional development time to focus on further tweaking and refinement.
While the Hitman The studio did not provide a reason for this latest delay, it is likely that the team will need more time to polish the Switch 2 edition.
007 First Light follows the story of a young James Bond, played by actor Patrick Gibson, in a reimagined origin story that leads him to become M16’s top agent.
TechRadar Gaming had the chance to preview 007 First Light in September, with editor Rob Dwiar writing how the game “feels a lot like the James Bond video game we’ve all been waiting for” and “seems to have Hitmanthe distinctive DNA of it running through its veins.”
Elsewhere in the lead-up to the game’s launch, Sony has revealed a new limited edition PS5 controller inspired by James Bond and the upcoming game, with pre-orders starting next week, April 17.
