- Screenshots of the Nintendo application today
- The image shows joy with an additional button in front of switch 2
- It remains to be seen what the “C” button is for.
While Nintendo has not lost many details on the next Switch 2 during its direct flow earlier during the day (March 27, 2025), the game giant left some facts on its next awaited console through the meshes of the net.
Beyond many new titles arriving at the current switch and Switch Oled, as well as the management of Switch 2, the company has also abandoned a new application. No, not an update of Nintendo music, but the brand new Nintendo Today application for Android and iOS.
It is released now and available for download, but as for the first time by VCG, one of the screenshots of the App Store and the Play Store show a Nintendo Switch 2, especially the Joy-Cons … and Oh has never spoken.
At first glance, it is the joy-con connected to form a controller with the main shell of the Switch 2 behind, but look a little closer and as some would say, “improve. “The good Joy-Con with red reflections has a” C “button under the home button.
This roughly confirms the existence of the “C” button and that it will be part of switch 2 in a fairly large location on the main console controllers. Details become a little rarer after that, however, and we will probably have to wait for the company to make it official in April 2, 2025, Nintendo Direct, which is promised to be Switch 2. Basically, the opposite of today’s previous Nintendo.
And for those who wonder, this additional button was visible in the original Switch 2 launch video, but it had no C. Similarly, the “C” button was significantly absent on the switch, the Lite switch and the Switch OLED, but it has a little history with the previous consoles of Nintendo. It appeared on the Wii, Gamecube, New 3DS and New 3DS XL.
Techradar’s clean dash Woods believes that it could allow a new mouse mode on Joy -Cons – acting essentially as a new way of controlling Switch 2 and navigating the interface. Since the Kickstand seems much more capable on the Switch 2 of the Teaser videos, it could make sense because you could support the console, then use it with a mouse for specific titles.
Nintendo may well try to facilitate a little more easy for Joy-Cons; It could also be something else, like a new type of connection. It could also be for “community”, allowing a new type of hub – maybe Mii will come back? For the moment, it is the assumption of anyone, but we appreciate finding it in a new application of Nintendo, and fortunately, the Switch 2 Direct Stream is only a few days old.
