To facilitate tourists during the holidays of Eidul Fitr, the traffic police of Abbottabad decided to suspend the program of Challans for three days. Challan devices will remain inactive, ensuring that no tourist is condemned to a fine during this period.
The decision was made during an important meeting Thursday, during which special traffic management measures were discussed to ensure a smooth traffic flow during Eid.
The DSP headquarters, DSP traffic, DSP Mandian, DSP Havelian, inspector traffic and other senior traffic police officials, including the charges of the main control room and the traffic control room, attended Reunion.
Addressing the meeting, the director of SSP traffic, Tariq Mahmood Khan, announced that all the staff of the traffic police have been canceled for Eid and that the police will remain in service. Special facilitation centers will be set up to help tourists, guaranteeing that they are faced with any difficulty.
He also ordered that strict discipline and respectful behavior should be maintained towards tourists and citizens. “Growerness or immoral behavior will not be tolerated and the flow of traffic must be ensured at any time to avoid congestion,” he said.
In addition, traffic police will be present throughout the city to help the public in an emergency. Citizens and tourists were invited to follow the rules of the traffic and to cooperate with the police to ensure an experience of acid hassle.
