- The Galaxy Tri-Fold could be sold by the end of 2025
- A new report pays a 10 -inch screen and a snapdragon processor
- An UI 8 leak also highlighted the design of the high -end foldable
We have patiently awaiting the launch of the Samsung tripolar phone since it was briefly teased in January, but a new report suggests that the wait is not yet over – while Ui 8’s leak revealed our animated first glance on the aircraft.
Firstly, this report comes from the South Korean exit The Bell (via a well-known @jukanlosreve) prognostician, and perhaps the most interesting detail is that the mass production of the aircraft will start in September. This means that it should be available for purchase in the fourth quarter of 2025 (October, November or December).
The report corresponds to what we have heard before on the triplage arriving later than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 – which have only one fold to divide the main display into two panels. These folders should be unveiled during the next event unpacked on Wednesday July 9 and be sold shortly after.
According to this last report, it seems that Samsung can announce some details of the Galaxy Tri-Fold during the July 9 event, even if it will not be on sale for a while. Previous rumors suggested that this could be called the fold of Samsung Galaxy G.
These new G Fold animations buried in an IU 8 (spotted by Android Authority), as for that, confirm its probable design. This means that we can expect a foldable with two folding hinges inwards. This would differentiate from the “S-Shape” design of the Huawei Mate XT, which has an inward folding hinge and a folding hinge to the outside.
The phone’s left panel apparently houses a configuration to triple rear camera, while the center will be the home of the cover display. The panel on the right (when visualizing the back to the back to three reducable) will apparently have no display, which is not a huge surprise. It should be the median part of the sandwich on the phone when the fold G is folded, the camera panel falling back on it.
It will cost you
The Bell’s article continues by saying that Samsung only manufactures a relatively low number of these tripled phones – it is apparently more a showcase of technological demonstration than a handset that should move a large number of units.
There is also a mention of a high price for tripping, which is to be expected given the technical complexity here. This will also affect sales, and previous rumors have underlined a price requested from $ 3,000 to $ 3,500 (around £ 2195 £ 2,560 or $ 4,560 at $ 5,320), as well as suggesting that the Galaxy G Fold will only be on sale in South Korea and China.
We have already seen the Huawei Mate XT Tri-Fold get on sale for the price of four PS5 pros, so it is not surprising that the equivalent of Samsung costs a significant sum of money. The Huawei model is currently only available in a limited number of Asian countries, which may be another indicator of what Samsung could do.
We should get some official details next Wednesday, and of course, we will cover the live launch. The bell indicates that the Samsung Tri-Fold will offer a 10-inch screen and will operate on the Elite Snapdragon 8 chipset, corresponding to the previous leaks.
