- The Rog Xbox Ally should be launched on October 16, two months after its presence as Gamescom
- This leak comes shortly after a previous report which suggested a pre -order date of August 20
- Hollow knight: Silksong could now be launched on October 16
Gamescom 2025 is fast approaching and should present a wide range of highly anticipated games and equipment, including the new Rog Xbox ally of Microsoft and Asus. Now, a new leak has given us an overview of the latter’s launch date, which is a little further than expected.
According to Bilbil-Kun via Deffowabs, the Rog Xbox Ally is expected to be launched on October 16, after practical overviews in Gamescom in August. This leak follows a previous report which suggested that pre -orders would open on August 20, essentially referring to what the units would be ready to send to consumers from this date. However, this does not seem to be the case.
Although the new report insists that the date of August 20 is correct for pre -orders, the alleged launch date of October 16 means that the new pocket computer will be a little late for the new versions. The MSI Claw A8, another pocket computer using Ryzen Z2 Extreme of AMD, is already available in certain regions of Europe, with the Lenovo Legion Go 2 which should be launched soon because its prototype is already available in China.
If this leak is legitimate, it means that fans will wait more than a month to finally acquire the devices, one of which is supposed to be too expensive. There will be two models apparently; The Rog Xbox Ally X (according to rumors, would have a price of $ 899) with the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, while the Ally Rog Xly will use a lower processor, the Ryzen Z2A.
As for long expected Hollow knight: SilksongThis new leak should mean that it will be launched on October 16, while Xbox president Sarah Bond confirmed that the title would be launched alongside the Ally Rog Xbox.
Analysis: a two -month expectation makes this launch a little less exciting
Although a two -month expectation is not exactly the worst thing here, it is undermined little of the excitement that I have for the new devices. I am not already satisfied with the recent price labels for pocket computers like the MSI Claw A8, MSI Claw 8 AI + and the $ 899 tag of Rog Xly Ally X, so additional expectation is not exactly excellent news for consumers.
Do not get me wrong, I do not plan to buy the ROG Xbox Ally X, but I plan to analyze the differences in potential performance between its Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and the Ryzen Z2 Extreme Standard (including the performance of the Ryzen Z2A) via real benchmarks of games, and that will not give exactly the advantages and the presentation of the XBOX.
The wait also adds to the frustration of the lack of availability on the market, because it is increasingly difficult to find actions of the Lenovo Legion Go Z1 Extreme. The latter is a device that interests me particularly thanks to its 8 -inch display, but it is nowhere in the United Kingdom – and there is no guarantee that the same original problems will not arrive at the Rog Xbox ally.
From what we have already seen from the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, it seems that the price leap of a z1 pocket computer is excessive. At this point, all I want is a pocket computer equivalent to the power of the Asus Rog Ally, with an 8 -inch screen, but this is delivered with a high price or a lack of availability.
The Rog Xbox Ally is a 7 -inch device which, unfortunately, could check the two boxes of “expensive price” and “low”, and which does not leave me enthusiastic by its launch.
