The Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan assured on Friday in the Senate that the toll tax would not be collected on an incomplete section of Rajarasti in Umerkot from the Mirpurkhas-Khokhrapar motorway.
Responding to the notice of the attention raised by Senator Poonjo, the Minister stressed that invoice a toll on an unfinished road was unjustified. “If a toll is collected in the incomplete section, I will ensure its immediate withdrawal,” he said.
Aleem Khan said that the 154 -kilometer highway is the NHA jurisdiction and has faced several delays due to disputes.
