In February, the winner of the Super Bowl and Large Receiver of Speedy Tyreek Hill and “the fastest man in the world”, Noah Lyles, seemed to be reaching an agreement.

While the two sports stars have agreed to compete in a race to determine who is really the fastest, the highly anticipated event will not really occur, according to Lyles.

The 27 -year -old, who won gold 100 meters at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer, attended the Cannes Cannes Cannes Film Festival in France. During an appearance on stage, Lyles cited “complications” and “personal reasons” when he provided an update on the state of the race.

Lyles added that the famous New York Times Square would probably have been the event site.

“We were going to have a big event. We were going to close the New York Times Square and everything. We were going to have all the display panels for the event. It was going to be very fun.”

Hill recently shared a video on his account on social networks showing him working on his sprint while he was preparing for the friendly competition with Lyles.

The video showed the receiver Eight times Pro Bowl finishing 100 meters during the Last Chance Sprint Series event in California in 10.15 seconds.

It is not clear if the race between Lyles and Hill will be reprogrammed on a later date.
