Noah Schnapp asked his Stranger Things co-star for help

Noah Schnapp talks honestly about aging on ‘Stranger Things’

The first five minutes of Stranger Things season five digitally disintegrates Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, running for refuge in the Upside Down.

But before him, his co-star Millie Bobby Brown had filmed in a similar setting for the eleven flashback scenes of his character in season 4.

Now, in an interview with DeadlineNoah remembers asking his co-star for help, because, like him, she also used a body double to show events from the past.

“I asked [Millie] for help, honestly. I said to myself, “How did you work with the child when you had to?” “It was fun to step into the shoes of these directors that we don’t really get to play on the show.”

He continues: “And think introspectively and thoughtfully about the way I act and the way I acted and moved and breathed and turned and looked and sort of conveyed that to this little child, who was so cute.”

“It was a fun experiment. It’s a little digital. It’s hard to make it look perfect, but it turned out pretty well.”

Similarly, Millie talks about her digital aging process, recalling: “I got to direct her for a few episodes. It’s really interesting because [it] Taught me a lot about what I did. I was like, “Yeah, how did I do it, why did I do it?” All right?'”

“I was like, ‘Wow.’ I just screamed and held out my hand, without any feeling of embarrassment. And it’s so interesting. 10 years ago, social networks did not exist. It wasn’t like that 1763849969 at all.”

“I posted pictures of my dog and I had like 25 followers. It’s interesting, the feeling of humility that you really have to leave at the door.”

Stranger Things season five, Vol. 1, will be released on November 26.
