Nobody Wants This season 3: key information
– Arrival on Netflix in 2026
– Production has not yet started
– The main cast is expected to return
– No trailer or release date announced
– Should resume the events of season 2
In fact, everyone wants Nobody wants that season 3 and while that’s a bit long, we can reveal that the hit Netflix comedy will return later this year. Already?! That’s correct. It’s quickly become one of those shows that gives us an annual release and we’re really not crazy about it.
As one of Netflix’s best shows on one of the best streaming services, we’ve watched two seasons of Joanne and Noah go through the ups and downs of a relationship, trying to compromise on faith — and learning that it’s Really important to talk about it.
So, as the series returns for another season, here’s everything we know about it so far, from the expected release date to the return of its cast, plot rumors and more.
No One Wants This Season 3 Release Date Prediction
Just out of season 2, Nobody wants that season 3 is already on the way – and it will arrive later this year. Kristen Bell broke the news of the renewal to her fellow cast members on November 4 (shown above), less than two weeks after Season 2 premiered on Netflix.
In a statement to Tudum, series creator Erin Foster said: “I couldn’t be more excited to embark on a third season of this series. It’s a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on such a scale. As long as it doesn’t take up too much of my time watching reality TV in the evenings, I’ll do it for as long as they want me to!”
And as for the release date, Tudum has already revealed that season 3 will premiere on the streamer later this year, although there is no specific release date yet.
We got season 1 in September 2024, season 2 in October 2025, so I predict we’re looking at around the same time of year for season 3. But watch this space!
Nobody wants this season 3 trailer
There is no Nobody wants that Season 3 trailer to share for now, but that’s not really surprising considering we don’t have a release date either.
The trailer for season 2 was released, Netflix-style, about a month before it landed on the streamer. So even though we will have season 3 in 2026, we will have a trailer before that. I will update here as soon as it lands.
Nobody wants this season 3 cast
While the Nobody wants that The cast for season 3 hasn’t been fully confirmed, some actors are featured in Kristen’s season 3 renewal video, and we expect the rest of the main cast to return as well:
- Kristen Bell as Joanne
- Adam Brody as Noah
- Justine Lupe as Morgan
- Timothy Simons as Sasha
- Jackie Tohn as Esther
- Michael Hitchcock as Henry
- Stephanie Faracy as Lynne
- Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan
- Tovah Feldshuh as Bina
In terms of recurring and guest stars, there is no official news about their return. Take Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester who played Abby, although there doesn’t seem to be much reason, based on how season 2 ended, for her to return, but you never know.
There are also recurring stars like D’Arcy Carden as Ryann, Sherry Cola as Ashley, Stephen Tobolowsky as Rabbi Cohen (or Big Noah) or Seth Rogen as Rabbi Neil who we might also see again. But we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for any confirmation.
Nobody Wants That: Season 3 Story Synopsis
Full spoilers for Nobody wants that seasons 1 and 2 to follow. Plus, potential spoilers for season 3.
Although we don’t have an official plot synopsis for Nobody wants that season 3, we can take a look at how season 2 plays out to get a good idea of what might happen next.
We entered Season 2 with Joanne not feeling ready to convert to Judaism — and, for the most part, it felt like we were going to leave the season in exactly the same position. But then Joanne finally made a choice after a very brief (and stressful) breakup with Noah that revealed to her what she really wanted in life. And luckily, it was him.
But, before we could even catch our breath from the titular couple’s turmoil, another important decision was made. This time by Esther. After a potential pregnancy, Esther reevaluated her relationship with Sasha, somewhat shaken in season 2 by his friendship with Joanne’s sister, Morgan, and ultimately decided to separate from him to learn more about herself.
So, without a doubt, we will witness both the journey that Joanne is about to embark on, fully committing to her relationship with Noah, while Esther navigates by taking a step back from hers with Sasha.
Adam Brody speaking to Parade, he hopes that in season 3, Joanne and Noah will finally take the next step in their relationship, whether that’s moving in together or getting engaged, he says “relatively soon.” Adding: “I think if he could press the accelerator, the pedal in another area, that would be good.”
And these big gestures from Noah will hopefully come as a return to Joanne potentially committing to, hopefully, converting to Judaism, as Deadline explains.
Season 2 left us with questions about what big moments will happen next for these couples and, also, what Morgan’s return to the dating scene will look like, after her breakup with Dr. Andy.
Fortunately, speaking to Elle, showrunner Jenni Konner revealed that there are plenty of opportunities for that in Season 3: “We have so many stories that we still want to tell. We want to continue to explore the characters that we haven’t really explored, and I think that’s going to be a lot of fun…and it would answer a lot of questions that you might leave Season 2 with.”
Will there be more seasons of Nobody Wants That?
Nobody wants that has been getting early renewals and strong performance stats on Netflix, but as for season 4, there’s no news yet. As has been the case, it will apparently depend on how season 3 plays out on the streamer and until it becomes available in 2026, we won’t know what it will look like.
Season 2 held the top spot on Netflix’s English TV channel list for two weeks in a row with 18 million views in its first 11 days, according to Tudum. With great love for the series, we’d be surprised if it doesn’t continue to run. But that depends on what happens in season 3, so we’ll stay tuned.
