New York Mets launcher Nolan McLean was a bright point in the resurgence of the team in recent weeks and has marked history on Wednesday evening against the Philadelphia Phillies.
McLean lasted eight rounds and withdrew six on the 6-0 victory against the Phillies, which passed New York to four games from the advance of the National League division. With the jewel of an outing, he accomplished something neither Tom Seaver, Dwight Gooden, Jacob Degrom nor anyone else in blue and orange had never done – winning his first three departures from MLB.

The dishes went 8-3 since McLean won his first departure. McLean lowered its ERA to 0.89 – the lowest in the history of the team for a recruit during its first three departures. Seaver has already held the brand with an MPM of 1.19 during its first three departures in 1967.

“I always believed in my things. I am a confident guy,” said McLean. “Obviously, the strikers here are the best in the world and I know it. But I also know that I have good things. And if I go there and that I will execute, I can also get a lot of guys.”
