- Nordpass now supports the attachments of your most important documents
- Define reminders to update your expiration copies
- The usual northern encryption methods always apply
Top Password Manager Nordpass has revealed that it is now supporting the storage of documents to make sure that all your most important files are kept safe.
From today, users can now store documents (such as identifiers, driving licenses and passports) in a encrypted safe.
The documents can be downloaded in the form of scans, images or other types of files, with the possibility of creating personalized fields for a quick reference in the safe.

The company has explained that the new feature comes in response to safety without security seen around the world – many people simply keep a photo of their sensitive information in their photo library.
“People find it difficult to store and manage their physical documents safely … These essential documents are often moved, difficult to access when needed or forgotten until they expire, leading to missed renewals and unnecessary stress,” said the head of the basic product Challa.
All stored data is encrypted using Xchacha20, which allows it to be available on all connected devices. Families can also use Nordpass to store essential files, such as marriage and birth certificates and insurance documents.
In its ad, the company boasted of the functionality of integrated reminders. By assigning an expiration date, users will be recalled to update their documents once renewed so that the last copy is always available in their safe, allowing transparent data recovery for online purchases and more.
Nordpass is available in three different flavors – free, premium (for individual users) and the family (for up to six users). Techradar Pro Asked the company to confirm which plans include new documents for document storage.
Although the possibility of storing the important details of the documents is not new (Dashlane, 1Password and Proton pass all the secure support notes), the possibility of keeping a photocopy of these documents distinguishes NordPass from its key competitors from the password manager.
During the years that followed its launch, Nordpass has become much more than a simple password manager, supporting multi-fateur authentication codes and the masking of emails.
