NordVPN has just unveiled a long -awaited upgrade for all Linux users – a complete graphical user interface (GUI) for its VPN client.
The Linux VPN Updated application makes confidentiality more accessible for the Linux community, thanks to rich visual elements which promise to facilitate the use of advanced features.
“This launch is a natural progression of our mission to make cybersecurity accessible and transparent for everyone. Whether you are an experienced user of Linux or again in the operating system, we believe that this Gui will improve your NordVPN experience,” said the CTO of NordVPN, Marijé Briedis.
NordVPN New Gui Linux VPN
Briedis explains that the graphical interface brings the simplicity of other NordVPN applications to Linux for the first time, while preserving the reliability, speed and safety that users expect from one of the best VPN suppliers on the market.
This means that all those who use a Linux Distro or Linux Desktop device can now take advantage of all the features offered by NordVPN, including threat protection, double VPN and a killing switch, a few clicks – it doesn’t matter if you are vpn pro or beginner.
The VPN Gui Linux de NordVPN is not a whole new application, explains the supplier, but a significant upgrade of its seasoned CLI software.
It is important to keep in mind, however, that at the time of writing, Meshnet de NordVPN and other features remain accessible only via the CLI version, which continues to be taken care of in full.
“Linux users are an incredibly important part of our community, and we are delighted to make their experience even better,” said Briedis.
The new Gui version of the NordVPN Linux application is also delivered with the post -quantum encryption support – an upgrade published by the company last October – and its latest censorship protocol, Nordwhisper.
NordVPN joins other popular suppliers offering a complete graphical interface for their VPN client. These include Surfshark, which launched its VPN Gui Linux in 2022, ExpressVPN, offering this feature since March of this year, and private Internet access (PIA).
How to go to the NordVPN Gui Linux application
NordVPN promises a quick installation which should be familiar to all those who have already installed the CLI version. The steps are the same, in fact, with the exception of an adjustment.
You must now specify the command to install the Gui version by typing it in the terminal: SH <(WGET -QO --P NordVPN -Gui
While the graphical interface is now available via the Deb and RPM packages, the supplier guarantees that a Snap version is coming soon.
