Netflix recently abandoned the fourth volume of animated anthology series acclaimed Love, death and robots,. Created by David Fincher and Tim Miller. Since 2019, Fincher and Miller have designed this elegant universe where opportunities for high -end animation and fascinating and folded stories are in abundance. However, after six years and four volumes, it seems that the series is short of original ideas.
Stand-out
While volume 4 of Love, death and robots Always provides an absolutely magnificent animation and maintains its diversity in terms of different visual styles, it is the narration that suffers.
The first three volumes had a huge success because they have always had some episodes off competition. The series has always been structured to offer a few episodes, generally 10 to 15 minutes, which have the strongest history concepts supported by the most astonishing animation. These episodes offer the start of a banger, medium and end to each volume, which is sprinkled with shorter and generally comical experiences.
The first volume – with its 18 episodes, the highest of all so far – has offered the most jewels. Episodes like The edge of the sound,, Good hunt,, The witness And Zima Blue breathtaking the public.
The edge of the sound was a revenge tale that takes place in the world of combat “ beastie ” underground Good hunt explored the link between a change of form and the son of a spirit hunter in a world industrializing quickly. The witness follows a woman fleeing the city after witnessing a murder Zima Blue Tells the journey of artist Zima and his true identity in a story that leaves your jaw on the ground.
While the second volume of eight episodes has seen interesting ideas such as genetic modification in Ice and the themes of immortality and loneliness in Snow in the desertit was Jibaro In volume three which deserves a place in the big episodes of all time in the series. The masterpiece of Alberto Mielgo has become a cultural phenomenon because of his hypnotic work CGI and his characters and the story bright, all told without words. This is something that Neill Blomkamp Oat studios also done in 2021. District 9 The director has experienced his own collection of strange and fascinating buildings and concepts. Love, death and robots Flight. 4 faces similar problems that Oat studios DID: fascinating concepts that remain half cooked almost as teasers to full films that never present themselves.
Lovers of death and robots
