- The last act of Star Wars Show includes a moment that has an impact on Vel more than most
- Marsay says the event will have an impact
Complete spoilers immediately follow for Andor Season 2 Episode 6.
Andor Star Faye Marsay revealed how the death of Cinta will have an impact on the story of his Vel character throughout the rest of season 2.
Talk to Techradar before Andor The launch of season 2, Marsay suggested that the shocking event would leave a lasting impression on VEL, especially because of the nature of style Romeo and Juliet of the relationship she had with the Cinta of Varada Sethu.
The disappearance of Cinta is a heartbreaking moment and determining the character for VEL. Despite their distance from Andor The second half of season 1, and Cinta’s decision not to contact VEL before suddenly appearing on Chandrila to kidnap (and probably kill) the long -standing friend of my Mothma, Tay, in episode 3 of season 2, the romantic pair in imprint is always clear to each other.
The proof is fully exposed during their possible reunion on Ghorman in the sixth chapter of this season, entitled “What a festive Evening”. After Cassian refuses to make Luthen’s auctions – essentially, helps to encourage a riot that could lead to the death of hundreds of citizens of Ghorman – Luthen sends Vel and Cinta to Ghorman to help his emerging resistance to the Galactic Empire.
This is a decision that turns out to be fatal for Cinta, and could be sufficiently devastating for Vel to reconsider its loyalty to Luthen.
Indeed, after a few favorites that cause the duo to rekindle their relationship, Vel and Cinta help the fighters of Ghorman’s freedom by secretly disturbing an empire convoy, stealing the weapons that this convoy ships in the streets of Ghorman and deviates in the night.
This would be the case, in any case, if it was not a trap placed by the Empire’s imperial security office. In short, a Ghorman citizen faithful to the Empire interrupts the attack on the rebels, a fight ensued and, in the midst of confusion, the Cinta is accidentally killed by a member of the resistance of Ghorman.
In a Star Wars television series which has already delivered its fair share of tragedies – I always pour one for Basso after his death in the third episode of this season – this is another revealing blow to the Resistance. For VEL, the death of Cinta is even more personal, and this can prove to be a turning point in the Disney + show which could force it to reconsider its allegiances in Luthen and the rebellious alliance.
“For Vel, the rebellion is still first,” Marsay told me when I asked questions about the last destructive event of the soul in one of the best Disney +shows. “The only moment that is really tested is with this relationship with Cinta. Apart from the rebellion, it is the only thing she could have chosen.
“But, Cinta is stuck in the state of mind of” the rebellion comes first “and Val suffers,” continued Marsay. “This is a relationship they want, but cannot have.
“Once Cinta is no longer with us, VEL really has nothing else to live. In itself, it is really sad because now she has a decision to make. She can either put her energy in the thing that, from the start, she believed so passionately, or you will move away completely. You will see what decision she takes in the future episodes.”
Episodes 1 to 6 of season 2 of the ORO are now. Three other episodes will arrive on May 6, the final trio released on May 13 and 14.
