Now you see me actors reportedly gushed over Morgan Freeman.

The film’s cast couldn’t contain their admiration for Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman at the film’s New York premiere on November 10.

The 88-year-old Oscar winner returns as Thaddeus Bradley for the third installment of the hit franchise, a role he has played since the series launched in 2013.

Talk to PEOPLE Magazineseveral of Freeman’s co-stars admitted they were completely stunned on set.

“The first day we met him, we were all gawking around him, ranking his best films,” Dominic Sessa shared with a laugh.

“I think we were all fanning out when he was there – it’s so cool to be able to make a movie with a living legend.”

On top of that, co-star Justice Smith echoed the sentiment, emphasizing how meaningful it was to share the screen with the cinema icon.

“He’s an icon. I have a lot of respect for him as a young black actor. Yes, it was definitely surreal.”
