Lahore:
Former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslimy-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, did not play any role for Balutchistan, as he expected, said the secretary general of the National Party (NP), Jan Muhammad Buledi on Wednesday.
Earlier in April, a delegation of NP leaders, led by Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, had met Nawaz at his residence in Jati Umra and informed him of the situation in Balutchistan. NP leaders asked Nawaz to play its role “directly or indirectly via the federal government to help solve provincial problems.
At a joint press conference after the meeting, the chief of the PML-N, Khawaja Saad a refined, said that Nawaz had assured Baloch and his party leaders that he would play his role for peace and stability in Baloutchistan.
Raffle also said that Nawaz assured the NP that he would engage with political actors to meet the challenges that the province is confronted. Senator Buledi said they had high expectations and hoped that the former Prime Minister would play his proactive role.
However, he added, it was Nawaz’s decision not to take place in terms of Balutchistan.
He added that Nawaz Sharif was in service, and any statement that this government was not under its control regarding such cases was wrong.
He said that preventing him from demonstrators from heading to Islamabad in Punjab was very condemnable. It seems that those behind it wanted no political solution to the problems of Balutchistan.
He added that those who were talking about Baluchistan rights were seen with suspicion.
